This corridor focuses on the strategic movements along the M4, M32, M48 & A4 and the Great Western and South Wales mainlines.
There are four Strategic Partnership Groups within the Western Gateway STB and each partnership provides oversight and support towards the production of a long-term strategy for each strategic travel corridor.
Once the travel corridor strategies are completed, each strategy will include local and national schemes and information on the phased delivery for each scheme. The corridor strategies will also be aligned with the Western Gateway’s Strategic Transport Plan.
Each travel corridor is considered in conjunction with stakeholders from outside the Western Gateway area and is supported by Western Gateway STB officers to ensure there is consistency in the approach taken by each of the strategic partnership groups.
