Western Gateway STB officers are pleased to publish the Case for Change brochure for the Bristol – Swindon – Oxford service, which has been produced in collaboration with our fellow STB, England’s Economic Heartland STB, and Network Rail.
The aim is to provide an all-day, every day hourly train service. This builds on the successful trial that has been running on Saturdays only. To run this service, it does not require any capital investment, so our ask to Government is to specify the service in future timetables and commit to fund its additional operational costs (e.g. train crew/ fuel etc).
