At the July Board meeting, we elected a new Chair, Cllr Manda Rigby, and Vice Chair, Cllr Chris Willmore. Let’s get to know them a little better.
Chair: Cllr Manda Rigby
Cllr Manda Rigby was elected as the Chair of the Western Gateway STB Board in July 2024. She represents the Liberal Democrats as the councillor and Cabinet Member for Highways at Bath and North East Somerset Council. As well as having expertise in planning and transport, Manda brings a wealth of experience in finance and technology.

Vice Chair: Cllr Chris Willmore
Cllr Chris Willmore was elected as Vice Chair of the Western Gateway STB Board in July 2024. She represents the Liberal Democrats as the councillor and Cabinet Member for Planning, Regeneration and Infrastructure at South Gloucestershire Council. Chris has extensive experience in the environmental landscape, and is particularly interested in sustainable transport solutions and promoting active travel. She is also an emeritus professor of sustainability and law.
