What’s happening?

Our second Western Gateway Coach Strategy Steering Group event will be an in-person meeting at Aerospace Bristol!

Over the last two years we have developed the South West Coach Strategy which was published in August 2023. The report can be found here. To guide the implementation of the Coach Strategy, we set up a Coach Forum, attended by operators, local authorities, and users.

The agenda:

  • Sandwich lunch at 12.45
  • Welcome & Introduction – Hannah Fountain, Western Gateway
  • Presentation: Update on Coach Strategy work to include Connectivity example and data from coach stop audit (to inform workshop session 2) – AECOM
  • Presentation: Bus/Coach Users Group
  • MOVE INTO BREAKOUT GROUPS ALLOWING FOR COMFORT BREAK
  • Break-out groups – 20 minutes on each of the following;
  1. Future coach markets in the South West
  2. Review of current coach stop and parking facilities in the SW – Where do we want better/improved ones?
  3. Baselining carbon impact and developing a carbon management plan for the sector
  • Close including AOB
