The Salisbury area Strategic Rail Study has been published

Salisbury Station, a vital hub on the West of England Line, is set for significant transformation as passenger numbers surge and strategic rail projects take take off. Acting as a key link between Basingstoke and Exeter St David’s, the station not only serves commuters and tourists but also supports freight services and the South Western Railway’s (SWR) Class 158 & 159 fleet.

As Network Rail’s Southern Region lays out its strategic vision, the next two decades look at the possible significant upgrades and operational efficiencies. With demand on the rise and major developments on the horizon, Salisbury is set to stand out our region’s rail network.
